Real Madrid star, Ronaldo, 32, has been linked with
a sensational Manchester United return after allegations of
£12.9million fraud but Jose Mourinho would rather sign Harry Kane
instead according to reports.
The prospect of seeing the Portuguese winger, who scored
against New Zealand yesterday, back in a United kit has Red Devils fans
licking their lips.
But The Mirror reported Mourinho, who fell out with
Ronaldo while at Real, would rather splash the cash on Kane, 23. Spurs’
reluctance to sell the England international meant only a mammoth bid –
like that which would be used on Ronaldo – would be enough to tempt
them. Mourinho is a huge fan of the Tottenham hitman – whose 29 goals
landed him last season’s Golden Boot – and believes he is a better
investment with his peak years ahead of him.
Meanwhile Mourinho could face a maximum six-year prison
sentence and a £17.4million fine, if found guilty of tax dodging while
at Chelsea and Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Manchester United boss is under scrutiny after
prosecutors in Spain opened up an investigation into his secret offshore
fortune.
The offenses carry a possible custodial sentence of between two to six years and maximum £17.4m fine.
