- The meeting is to seek for a solution between the federal government and the union
- NANS called for sensitivity between the two parties to the plight of young Nigerian students
NANS convened an emergency meeting in which they urged both bodies to engage "with a human face to resolve the lingering issues" that led to the declaration of the strike to save the education sector.
According
to NAN, the students body decried the incessant and prolonged strike as
one of factors responsible for the falling standard of education in
Nigeria.

Comrade Chinonso Obasi, the president of NANS said the lack
of agreements or lack of adherence and implementation of duly executed
memorandum of agreements between the FG and ASUU does not reflect and
demonstrate commitment to the sustainable development of the nation's
education sector and the development of the nation's human capital
development.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that NANS issued an ultimatum to the federal government over the indefinite strike embarked upon by ASUU.

According to reports, NANS asked the government to resolve the crisis in 21 days or face the wrath of youths across the country.
