National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According
to Vanguard, investigation shows that a political group within the
leadership of the party known as the ‘Renaissance’ have been making
efforts to get former Southwest National Deputy Chairman of the party,
Chief Bode George, to step down for a more youthful candidate in the
region.
A member of the group who pleaded anonymity said: “We
are more concerned about the future of our party and that is why major
stakeholders made up of Governors, Ex-Governors, National Assembly
caucuses amongst others, decided to come together under Renaissance to
ensure a fresh start for the party.”

member also added that the choice of Daniel was not just based on his
youth but also on his ability to interact freely with members and
intending members of the party across every region and other political
party.
