IPOB releases telephone numbers of President Trump, other world leaders, urges Biafrans to report alleged military atrocities (see list)

Nigerian army says it will investigate the origin of a video showing soldiers flogging some IPOB members

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has made public the telephone numbers of President Donald Trump, that of other world leaders and the international community for aggrieved Igbos to call and report human rights abuses allegedly being committed by the Nigerian army following the ongoing military operation in the southeast.

The group in a statement titled, Biafra worldwide phone call campaign alert, on Thursday, September 14, urged people of Igbo descent to lodge complaints to some organisation listed and some world leaders to halt the Operation Python Dance and the alleged killing of people in the southeast.

The group asked people in the southeast to plead with the international community to deploy security forces to protect the lives of Biafrans in the region.

The statement instructed the people to tell the world leaders that they are no longer protected by the laws governing Nigeria and that their existence is been threatened by the Nigerian government.

"Biafra Worldwide phone call campaign Alert !!! Call and report the Use the following prompts when you call: “Hello, my name is (——–); I’m calling to appeal to the President (or the relevant government official) to:

“The home of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra is under siege right now by the zoo military from 82 Division Enugu.

“Plead with them to force Nigeria forces of occupation – the military and Police – as well as to stop the Buhari led Nigerian government to stop the murder of Biafrans, released of all unlawfully arrested and kidnapped Biafrans.

“We urge international community to send force to protect the lives of Biafra’s from the Jihadist Nigeria Army as October quit notice is fast approaching.

“Tell them that Biafrans are no longer protected by the law and seen as species of terror which makes it unhealthy or poses threat to their existence in Nigeria. That Biafrans are looking up to them, to use their good offices in helping for the referendum of Biafra. (thank you!).

“Support the restoration and independence of Biafra. (Thank you!)"

Meanwhile, the Nigerian army has reacted to a disturbing viral video of some of its officials torturing members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In the 3-minute video, the soldiers flogged some of the men before ordering all of them to sleep in the mud by a roadside.

While reacting to the video, the acting director of army public relations, Brigadier General Sanni Usman, said the army will take necessary steps to investigate the origin of the video.

Also, the Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, alongside traditional rulers in the state, met with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) commanding the 82 Division of the Nigerian army Enugu, Major General A.B. Abubakar, at Government House in Umuahia, the Abia state capital on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Ikpeazu and the traditional rulers appealed to the GOC to reduce military presence in the state, particularly in Aba and umuahia, as tension in the areas have gone down
