Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state on Sunday, December 17, said President Muhammadu Buhari “undoubtedly came to rescue Nigeria from the brink of collapse and hopelessness.''
Channels Television reports that Al-Makura made this known in his goodwill message to President Buhari on his 75th birthday.
The governor described him in a statement as a man of ''uncommon credibility and integrity'' and called on Nigerians to support him.
In the statement by his chief press secretary Musa Elayo, he also commended the president for his effort and commitment to carrying out the much-needed cleansing of the country of corruption and other social vices.
He also declared that the achievements recorded so far by the president reflect his vision for a better Nigeria.
The also governor wished the president ''abundant wisdom, strength, courage, and sound health to continue to steer the affairs of the country to the promised land.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that Governor Al-Makura declared that the re-election bid of President Buhari in 2019 was already a done deal.
The governor made the declaration while receiving members of the Democratic Youth Assembly (DYA), who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Lafia, on Wednesday, December 13.
